H-1B Expose on TV on Friday

KNXV TV 15 Phoenix is returning to their series on jobs that are being
taken by H-1Bs and outsourced to India. You can watch the show by
streaming video or if you miss it they will probably have it online.
The show will be aired 7/23/2004 at 10 PM, PST. If you want "in your
face reporting" on H-1B and outsourcing, the "Investigators" at this
news affiliate will give you what you want. They are reminiscent of the
old style "60 Minutes" before they went mainstream.

The first installment was about the outsourcing of state jobs to India.
If you haven't seen the video you are missing a good one because they
go after Janet Napolitano. She turned around and walked away when she
was asked when it was that she knew that the Arizona's welfare
call-center was being offshored to India (that happens towards the end
of the story). I just keep playing the part with Janet over and over.
It's an all time classic!

Several of us were interviewed in the studio in a panel discussion.
Those that attended the discussion included Michael Anderson, Gunther
Viktor, and Jason Bradley.

There will be a surprise because the Channel 15 crew has been
investigating the hiring practices of the Arizona state government.
Expect some fireworks, and don't be surprised if Janet Napolitano is
asked if she favors using H-1B visa holders for state jobs.
