Americans for Better Immigration Print Ad

This advertisement was run in Michigan to alert Michigan voters that Sen. Spencer Abraham was selling them out.

There is so much anger over H-1B that a former Senator from Michigan, Spencer Abraham, a one-term Senator, lost his bid for re-election this past November 2000, due in part to a bill that he wrote (and that was passed) that increased the annual limit on H-1B Visas from 115,000 to 195,000 (S. 2045). A broad coalition of groups and individuals worked together to educate the voters of Michigan on Senator Abraham's desire to increase the importation of foreign workers - TV, Radio and Newspaper ads were run prior to the election, and approximately $1 Million was spent in this process.

This site wants to thank the Americans for Better Immigration for joining the battle against H-1B.
